Kievits Kroon’s Winelands Spa is set on a 16 hectare country estate just outside Pretoria, far from the hustle and bustle of busy cities, highways and traffic. The spa is designed with unisex as well as ladies-only facilities. There are ten spacious therapy rooms including two single rooms and eight double treatment rooms to accommodate couples.
Designed according to the classic European spa tradition, the spa has one of the most advanced thermae treatment facilities in Gauteng which includes well-designed steam rooms, saunas, Jacuzzis, Swiss showers and plunge pools. The heated indoor swimming pool has a beautiful view of the estate. There are refreshments available from a complimentary snack table for guests. The Winelands Spa menu includes a variety of treatments, from a range of basic and specialised facials, body scrubs and exfoliation treatments, to body wraps, massages and leg treatments. These are complemented with a menu of customary beauty treatments including tinting, waxing, manicures and pedicures.
Kievits Kroon recently launched its own product treatment range, VinoSpa, developed specially for the Winelands Spa by a leading South African cosmetic manufacturer. The VinoSpa products are used in the Winelands Spa’s new menu of signature treatments, including facials and body treatments and are available for purchase at the spa for use at home. The VinoSpa affordable range has been tailor-made to reflect the upmarket Kievits Kroon brand and its association with the winelands, which is also reflected in the Cape Dutch-style buildings on the estate, the estate’s own wine labels and its award-winning wine list. The products have various anti-oxidant, protective and moisturising properties derived from a number of ingredients including optivegetol (a red wine extract), and natural oils such as grapeseed, olive, sweet almond and avocado oils. Together these ingredients work against harmful free radicals to reduce the oxidative stress responsible for premature skin ageing and gently nourish and replenish the skin. The range of 10 unisex products includes Facial Scrub, Toner, Facial Cleanser with cleansing, anti-bacterial, moisturising and anti-irritant properties, Moisturiser with SPF15, avocado and sweet almond oils to smooth and soften the skin, and added vitamins to even skin tone, Conditioning Shampoo enriched with an anti-oxidant wine extract for protection and grapeseed oil to repair damaged hair, Body Scrub with sweet almond, soya bean and olive oil, a non-greasy Body Lotion enriched with grapeseed oil and cocoa butter, a refreshing Body Spray infused with peppermint oil, an invigorating Shower Gel and an Exfoliating Foot Scrub with olive, peppermint and eucalyptus oils.
