The newest addition to the Amani City Spas is Amani Spa at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the Cape Town Waterfront. Located on the ground floor of the hotel, both hotel guests and day visitors are welcome and have at their disposal a comprehensive menu of Amani’s signature therapies, massages, facials and a number of other beauty & grooming treatments. Clients also have access to the hotel’s fully-equipped Fitness Centre which overlooks the harbour.
The spa has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and now bears the signature elements of the Amani brand – serenity, beauty and attention to detail.
The ambience of the spa is one of light blues, greens and a lot of white to create a feeling of peace, balance and serenity. The upgrade included new warm wooden flooring and a new reception area with enhanced product display areas.
The Hydro area was also upgraded, with new paintwork, flooring and the steam room amended to include a Rasul where clients are able to apply therapeutic mud to hair, face and body, and exfoliate post-treatment. The Hydro Journey comprises a Vichy Shower, Caldarium (steam room, with Rasul), Kneipp, Sauna and Sensation Shower.
Facilities at Amani include 10 treatment rooms (with 1 couples’ room), a heated vitality pool and relaxation area, a Juice Bar where a selection of juices, teas and coffees are served, a “his” and “hers” change room (each with sauna). Spa guests also have access to the hotel’s fitness facility overlooking the marina.
Recognising the international trend in Wellness Travel, Ronleigh Gorden (founder and Managing Director of Amani Spas) established the first of her spas at the Ivory Tree Game Lodge in the Pilanesburg in 2006. Since then, another 5 Amani Safari Spas, 3 Amani SLOW Lounge Spas, and 3 Amani City Spas have been launched.
While each of Amani’s spas is unique in respect of location, client and ambience, the lifeblood of the company remains consistent:
· Utterly personalized service and care, where each visitor is treated as the only visitor.
· Highly skilled therapists who are employed not just for their technical skill, but also for their intuitive ability to read the client and her/ his particular needs.
· A 360-degree approach to wellness that incorporates body, mind and soul.
