Fancourt has given its Spa a makeover that includes an earthy new look and feel in the Spa Reception; a revamp of the relaxation area around the heated Roman Bath; as well as the introduction of a new Spa Menu that now also includes the Mama Mio maternity body treatments range.
The Fancourt Spa offers a world of pampering within 10 treatment rooms, among which a couple’s treatment room. Hotel guests and visitors to the spa have complimentary access to a wide range of facilities that include the heated Roman bath and Jacuzzi with relaxation area; sauna and steam rooms and a tepidarium (heated room).
Ringing in the changes is newly appointed Spa Manager Elizabeth Baker, who says that the Spa is an integral part of the holistic Fancourt guest experience. ‘The contemporary new décor of the Spa Reception has elevated our spa offering to a whole new realm with beautiful natural colours and fabrics enhanced by calming music and the subtle fragrance of incense that invite guests to pause, relax and enjoy some pampering.’
The Spa Menu has been expanded to include treatments from the all-natural Mama Mio maternity body treatments range, formulated to help stretching skin regain its former elasticity after the baby arrives. These are offered along with the revolutionary medical skincare range of QMS Medicosmetics; the specialized Decléor facial range; and locally produced Theravine body treatments that promote radiant skin through the use of grape by-product. Fancourt is furthermore the only spa in the country to provide the French Carita range of bespoke facial treatments, renowned for its remarkable anti-aging and skin-firming facial treatments.
Elizabeth Baker’s passion shines through when she talks about her plans to further refine the Fancourt spa experience: ‘My vision is to take our spa environment into the future with a more organic and natural ambience. I also want to expand our range of treatments and products to incorporate more organic and natural choices. One of my goals is to tailor spa experiences exclusively for men that are a natural extension of the outdoor activities we offer. The new Muscle Beach Massage from the ‘Mens Rituals’ section on the spa menu is a case in point. It’s tailored to providing the male body with exactly the right attention it deserves after an intense workout, whether on our golf courses, the tennis court or after a stint of mountain biking’.
The African Raindrop journey still takes centre stage as Fancourt’s signature spa treatment – a soothing body, mind and soul experience that offers 90 minutes of pure indulgence. The holistic massage concentrates on the energy points of the body, combining colour therapy, chakra balancing and manual massage with the expert use of essential oils.
