15 on Seventh – Parktown North, Johannesburg
The brainchild of Dr Mark Steinmann, a renowned Johannesburg plastic and reconstructive surgeon, and his wife Jacqui, an up-and-coming pastry chef, the 15 on Seventh concept came to be.
The idea was born as a result Dr Mark’s plastic surgery outgrowing his Rosebank consulting rooms. The practice had grown exponentially and called for a new home to offer more advanced and exciting treatments in an upmarket setting to suit it’s fast expanding clientele. “The idea was to create something that is so much more than a spa but rather somewhere people could come to relax, be pampered and made beautiful in every way imaginable; an ultra-modern, multifaceted beautification center.” Says Dr Steinmann. “In short to create Johannesburg’s quintessential beauty destination.”
When the Steinmann family stumbled upon the gem that was 15 7th Avenue in Parktown North, it proved to be the venue that ticked all of the boxes and so the creative fire was ignited.
15 on Seventh consists of three departments. The main building features Dr Steinmann’s Medical Spa. Defined by exquisite interior design and décor, the Spa offers a number of treatments ranging from light resurfacing, chemical peels to laser hair removal to deep penetrating Fraxel laser and Microneedling treatments as well as a comfortable setting for Dr Steinmann to consult with prospective new patients as well as serving the needs of his long standing clients. In his on-site surgery Dr Steinmann performs Botox and Fillers as well as smaller, less invasive medical procedures. The spa is also home to Dr Steinmann’s specialist nursing sister as well as two highly trained therapists performing treatments on a daily basis.
Quite different from the ultra-modern feel of the medical spa, the café embodies everything organic with deep wood finishes and a fresh herb garden being the centerpiece of the main deck area. Jacqui’s vision was to cater for those who live on the healthier side of life serving specially formulated dishes made from only the freshest ingredients to accommodate a range of popular diets like the banting and paleo lifestyles as well as some delectable pastries for those with
a sweet tooth. With signature fresh dishes, pressed juices and both local and imported drinks and snacks, the café is a popular spot in the area to grab something to eat in or on-the-go that satisfies your craving for a delicious fulfilling meal without tipping the scale.
Last but not least, 15 on Seventh’s pampering nail bar surrounds its visitors with undeniable elegance as they enjoy a pampering hand or foot treatment while enjoying some quiet time and an indulgent glass of bubbly. The nail bar offers treatments using only the best products on the market including, among others, Gelish, CND, Shellac and Morgan Taylor in a wide range of the latest hues to keep hands and feet looking fabulous.
